Hi everyone,
I bought a third used key for my Leon (from E...), specifically a remote key fob. I also got a new key blank cut and replaced, and I wanted to program the key using VAG-Com.
...I logged in using the WFS code (which I had read out using VAG-Dash) under entry 17, and then set channel 21 to 0... it accepted it... I entered a new key number of 3... it converted it to 1, which is correct.
..I removed the first key and inserted the second one until the WFS light went out... everything is okay... then, under channel 21, it displayed '2' keys.
'...then I inserted the third key, which was a folding key, and turned the ignition. The 'WFS' warning light remained on.'
...he apparently doesn't want to override the transponder.
...so I initially had an error in the error memory: 'incorrectly programmed key' (which makes sense, as I had provided 3 keys but only 2 were programmed).
....he accepted the other two keys, but the WFS light is blinking constantly.

...then I reset channel 21 to 0 and then to 2, and re-paired the two old keys... now everything is working again.

....my question is, I once read on the web that not all transponders can be reprogrammed multiple times... some are locked after the first programming... is that correct, and if so, how can I tell? ...did I do everything else correctly?
Regards,
Monchi.
