Cold Cleaner vs. Diesel: A Sustainable Alternative?

I once saw a report that showed how cleaning agents, which are produced in large quantities in the industry, can be used as a substitute for diesel fuel after a distillation process and the addition of additives. Furthermore, it was claimed that they burn more efficiently. From a cost perspective, this is supposedly very interesting, as the industry even pays the consumer for it.
What do you think about it?

Remember that any potential contaminants, up to a size of 1µm, must be filtered out, otherwise there is a risk of damage to the ESP or PD elements!

That sounds very tempting. Let's see what the tests reveal. It should be ready by mid-2003.

It would be interesting to know what the additive is made of and how much it costs.

And what about the disposal of the sludge?

If the quantities are correct, this could replace over 80% of the diesel that is currently sold. What would that likely mean for the mineral oil companies?
Considering where the cold cleaner ultimately comes from (it's a petroleum-based product), it becomes clear that it will never be sold significantly below the price of diesel fuel.
Our banana republic is full of money-hungry people who wouldn't miss out on such a deal. And our politicians are just puppets of the economy. And it's probably clear to everyone which sector of the German economy generates the most money.
If this system works as well as it seems and leads to the large-scale implementation of the project, what is currently waste will quickly become a valuable commodity.

Warten wir mal ab, was noch so passiert. In that sense...
