Are there any major issues if I install 195/60 tires instead of 195/65 tires on standard steel rims, other than needing to go to the TÜV (technical inspection)?

Well,

der Gesamt-Raddurchmesser ist somit kleiner. That is to say.
To achieve the same real speed, the engine needs to run at a higher RPM, icon_arrow.gif which results in increased fuel consumption.
- Consequently, the speedometer also displays an inaccurate reading.
- In the event of an accident, you will face immense problems. The police usually check the tires, and the insurance company checks them 100% of the time. If it turns out that you had the wrong tires on... icon_arrow.gif ...may God have mercy on you... You will definitely receive partial blame and points (similar to having worn-out tires).
