Rear interior door panels - Corrosion on the door latch mounting points.


Cause:
Thin coating due to burr formation in the edge areas.


Solution:
The repair should be carried out using repair panel No.: 1H4 898 311 and the following adhesive materials:

-2K Polyurethane Adhesive - Dual Cartridge, No.: D 180 KD2 A1

- Processing pistol for double cartridge, No.: Z 381 359 TE

-Mixing nozzle, part number: D 001 001.

Workflow:

Corrosion at the break point / Remove door latch.
Replace the rubber cover for the door latch, part number: 1H4 839 267.
Apply anti-corrosion primer No.: ALN 002 003, followed by 1K filler No.: LGF 008 001 A2.
Suitable applicator tool: Part number D 009 500 25 (felt ball).
The repair panel should be painted in the vehicle's color before bonding.
Carefully sand the area of the door's inner surface that needs to be glued, as well as the repair panel.
verschandeln both surfaces with degreaser or adhesive remover, product number: D 002 000.
Prepare the adhesive (product number D 180 KD2 A1) according to the manufacturer's instructions and apply a thin layer to the repair panel.
Immediately apply and press the repair sheet.
Immediately verschandeln any adhesive that has squeezed out with an adhesive remover.
Repair interior with cavity preservation, product number: D 003 700 04.

Butyl adhesive/sealing cord, to be laid, part number: AKL 450 005 05.
