Hi,

I have a question about an error message I encountered on a predecessor to the current RS4, specifically the "old" Biturbo model (with a chip upgrade to 420 hp).

Error 16502: Coolant temperature sensor (G62) signal too high, intermittent, P0118-35-10.

Symptom: Intermittent hard jolting and misfires at full throttle icon_eek.gif The engine starts extremely poorly when it's lukewarm, and then revs up to very high RPMs icon_eek.gif (The error message and symptom seem to match.)

A friend of mine has this part and drives around with it despite this defect (which I think is quite unreasonable). His offer is unbeatable: I get to source and replace the sensor for him, and I get to drive it again. icon_biggrin.gif

Where is the sender located? Does anyone have the part number?

Regards,

059 519 501A Double temperature sensor, 4-pin, green: €17.50 + "fairy tale tax" (likely a colloquial term for an additional charge).

If the installation location is the same as for the V6 gasoline engine (which it seems to be), I hope it has a thin arm.

Hi,

Okay, so the donor part has been replaced, and the problem is gone. The tip about using thin fingers was spot on: Anything thicker than a pencil and shorter than a car antenna will wonderfully scratch up your fingers.

Here's the translation:

"However, the RS4 is still exhibiting the following issue: misfires in cylinder 6. Additionally, the knock sensor for cylinder 1 is still showing significantly different readings compared to the other 5 sensors."

Daher die Frage: Über jeder Zündkerze sitzt ein kleines Bosch-Elektronik-Modul mit einem 3-poligen Stecker. Welche Teilenummer hat das aktuelle Teil? Wie ist die Bezeichnung? WHow much does it cost?

Auf dem Luftfilterkasten sitzen 2 weitere Module. Welche Teilenummer haben die aktuell? Wie ist die Bezeichnung? What is the price?

Quote:
Therefore, the question: Above each spark plug, there is a small Bosch electronic module with a 3-pin connector. What is the part number of the current part? What is its designation? How much does it cost?

That would be a common mistake.
spark ignition coil: 058 905 105 (note: there may be an "improved" version available): ~ €45.
Power amplifier: 4A0 905 351 A (possibly a later version): ~ €140 per piece.

Hi Smurfette,

Once again: Thank you very much.

If my friend gets back to me and I've seen his RS4, I'll let him know what's broken once I find out.
