Hello everyone...

I can't find this diode test... icon_redface.gif

Can someone quickly help me? I'm having a problem with my Galaxy, a 2001 model with 115 horsepower, because it's not pulling well in the higher RPM range. It doesn't perform too badly under partial load...

According to VAG, I have insufficient air mass... a maximum of 700 mg.

Unfortunately, I can't find the test you're referring to. Which DIODE should I use, and which connections should I bridge?

Best regards,
Michael.

Just remember that approximately 4.5 volts need to be applied to the output of the LMM (likely referring to a laser module monitor). So, it's clear how the diode needs to be connected - always with the ring towards the output.

When the diode is connected, the control unit (STG) detects a very high air mass, which, depending on the engine mapping, results in an above-average high exhaust gas recirculation (AGR) rate in the lower speed and load range. This could have a disruptive effect.

How's his loader doing? Have you already found a replacement?

How is his charger doing? Do you already have a replacement?

Not yet... I'm still waiting for an offer.

'But it's really funny to ride like that when someone joins you and doesn't know how my bike normally works... My friend's last comment was: 'Wow, that thing is fast, it really pulls, especially with the car involved...'' 'How many horsepower does it have? 150 or even more?'

I was almost at my breaking point...

Okay, here's the translation:

'First, I'm going to try welding it in the car... I can't really do much more than that...'

Best regards,
Michael.

First, I'm going to weld it in the car right away... I can't really do much more than that...

You're right, as long as there's no/very little mechanical involvement. It should last a while, depending on the load it's subjected to.
