'Will the standard 17' 6-spoke alloy wheels from an Audi S3 fit a G4 Variant with standard suspension without any modifications? The wheels have the following dimensions: 7.5J x 17 ET32, 5x100 bolt pattern. And will they be technically approved by TÜV (German technical inspection agency)?'
I once heard that with the G4, you can only fit/are only allowed to have 17-inch wheels if they were originally installed from the factory and registered.
These vehicles would have a different steering system.
"This rim is not approved for use on any Golf model. As a 17-inch wheel, the factory-installed options are only 7x17 ET 38 (Sport Edition), and more recently, the Evolo STP in the same size (GT Sport). Even with the 7x17 Santa Monica wheels, there can sometimes be issues with registration if the car does not have the standard sport suspension."
You need to register the Audi rims. Since there is no certificate of conformity or approval document (ABE), you will have to rely on Audi's goodwill and the judgment of the person at the TÜV (technical inspection authority). You should simply ask the TÜV person what requirements need to be met.
In terms of its dimensions, there shouldn't be many problems. However, the tire size is likely something that the TÜV inspector would be interested in.
