Golf 4, Year 2003 - KOBD2Check - Operation failed

I have a question. Wanted to read out the data from my wife's Golf 4, manufactured in 2013, today.
I always get "Operation failed" with KOBD2Check. OS: Win 7 pro

The OBD2 RKS+CAN adapter is recognized properly, and the status LED is lit green.
Also, even disconnecting and reconnecting will be recognized by the software.
However, no connection can be established when querying the data.

KCANMonitor and KDataScope also do not go accordingly.

Now don't say that the box is too old, I specifically asked about it before buying.

KDataScope lässt sich selbstverständlich unabhängig vom Auto nutzen, natürlich geht das Programm! Nur wirst Du mit einem Golf 4 per CAN keine Messwerte aufnehmen können.

KCANMonitor ist in Deiner KOBD2Check Bestellung gar nicht enthalten, das Programm wird aufgrund gleichem Installationspaket lediglich mit auf die Festplatte kopiert.
