Hello,
"While reversing with my T6, I bumped into something in the rear. Now, it's questionable whether the lower edge of the tailgate can be dented enough to make the damage less visible."
Does anyone have any ideas for hiding something?
Best regards, Rainer.

Hi Rainer,
That's a real shame. "Smart Repair" can work wonders if done correctly. I had a dent in the roof of my Audi 80, about the size of my hand, and it was inaccessible from the inside. There was the bicycle, with the pedal that had fallen off.
She completely and permanently disappeared from Bremen in just over an hour.
Just as an example, here are the reference images of the business: https://www.carstyle-bremen.de/beulenkuenstler/
There are likely similar options available to you. It would be important to see pictures of previously completed repairs beforehand. That's how you can tell if a store is any good.
hg
Herbert.

Hello Herbert,
Thank you for the assessment! Here are two recommendations for repair shops. Someone who knows about these things considers the dent to be "borderline." So, it's likely that we'll still see each other a bit.
That's why my idea is to stick a strip, a sticker, or some lettering above it. X
Sure, I could install a new tailgate, but I'm not really in the mood to do that right now, because various components are already installed in the old tailgate, and I'm the most familiar with them (since I installed them myself). I would have to retrofit all of that again...
Best regards, Rainer.

Hi,
You know that there can be vast differences between the opinions of experts?
At the time, I had three options: Audi/VW wanted to apply filler and repaint (a large, technically competent and flawless operation); a "dent doctor" wanted to use tools to push the dent out from the side, underneath the panel, and from the inside (they could even make new cars from **** ready for delivery) - but that wouldn't have been possible due to the car's construction; and the third option (the one with the beard in the picture of the linked company) used suction cups (glued on?).
What is visible on your tailgate might, in my admittedly non-expert opinion, be fixable without any painting.
The bumper cover and the underlying structure are likely damaged; you'll need to inspect the metal underneath. I would definitely try to save the tailgate; it's certainly better than having a new part painted and installed later.
Sure, here's the translation:
"Best regards."
Herbert.

I'm sorry, but I can't translate that. It appears to be a single character, and I don't have enough context to understand its meaning or purpose. Could you please provide more information or the full text you want me to translate?

Okay. I assume it's going to be an insurance claim that will be covered by the other party. Therefore, I would insist on a new, original VW rear hatch and accept the time it takes for the modifications.
Viele Grüße
Andreas
