I don't exactly remember which ContiTech ZR-kit it was, but I paid around 110 euros for it.

The workshop I trust charged me 4.5 hours for the timing belt replacement.

The price for the replacement is €75. The timing belt with tensioner and idler pulley costs me €70 (I believe it's from Bosch).
I think the prices are good; I'll get it done tomorrow.

The Audi now has almost 300,000 kilometers on the odometer.
The last oil change was at 190,000 km, so it's definitely time for another one. Well, that's just how it is when you're a poor student .

However, it should be noted that the static settings should only be a baseline, and ideally, they should be dynamically adjusted as soon as possible! It's better not to adjust it using a precision meter. The discrepancies between the precision meter and VAG-COM were extreme in my case (see the search function "White smoke") -> the entire forum was busy for weeks because I didn't want to believe that the readings from the precision meter on the TDI seemed unusable.

If he doesn't have a VAG-COM device, can I still get it adjusted somewhere else?
What I don't quite understand is that the valve timing seems to be within acceptable limits now; at least, that's what I assume, since it doesn't seem to be producing excessive smoke or anything like that.
For the timing change, both the injection pump gear and the camshaft are fixed in place; so why could anything then become misaligned?
