Hi.

Actually, the subject line says it all.

270 ohms at 1/4 watt?

Thank you.

Hi.

What do you want to achieve by connecting pins 4 and 7 (which connector are you referring to)?

Hi,

According to the 10-cent tuning guide, this modification causes the Motronic system to believe that the fuel is cold, and consequently, it injects more fuel.

Unfortunately, that's incorrect. Cold diesel has a higher density, so the control unit reduces the fuel delivery amount when it's made to believe that the fuel is colder.
The parallel resistance causes a higher reported fuel temperature than is actually present.
I wouldn't expect too much from this resistance. Why don't you just run the performance test once with the fuel temperature sensor manipulated and once without, and let us know the differences?

Best regards, Rainer.

Hi!

I would like to do that, provided I know how many watts the resistor should/can have? icon_smile.gif

Okay, one more quick question about the actual 10-cent tuning. I'm going to try it out later. Do I connect the potentiometer between cable 2 and 3? So, basically, I use two terminal blocks, connect a cable with a potentiometer in the middle between pin 2 and 3, and then set it to approximately 200 ohms, right?

Thank you.

It's not critical; 1/4W is okay.

"200 Ohms is probably a bit low; a more sensible range is likely somewhere between 1.2kOhms and 220 Ohms -> experiment to see when the limp-home mode no longer occurs."

Best regards, Rainer.
