Maybe I should sand down the surface sometime. Otherwise, I'd be okay with it as long as it brakes well. Aktuell:

What kind of noise are you hearing? If it's a grinding sound, then there's no need to worry. That's due to the surface texture of the discs. You shouldn't experience that anymore if you brake more firmly.

@ pamm6
At least my ATE Powerdisc was noticeably louder than the stock disc without slots. So it seems to make a difference. The brake pads were also from ATE.
The front disc, with the slots, was slightly better than the standard disc, especially because the slots helped to verschandeln the brake pads more effectively and reduced the likelihood of grooves forming on the discs. The rear discs were identical to the original discs. They rusted quickly, and the pads didn't wear down evenly across the entire surface, so the edges hardly contributed to the braking performance.
I am unable to translate "haithamina" because it does not appear to be a word or phrase in the German language. It may be a misspelling, a proper noun, or a term from a specialized field. If you can provide more context or clarify the intended meaning, I would be happy to assist you with the translation. 3G5, 110 kW, DFGA, TGV, Variant HL 2018-

Okay, I'm familiar with the ATE Powerdisc. They tend to produce a slightly grinding/squealing noise. We had some Jurid brake pads on them. The braking performance was only marginally better than the standard material, but the biggest advantage was the increased thermal resistance of the rotors. They lasted for a very long time.
After a few hundred kilometers of break-in, the TAROX brakes were as quiet as the original equipment (OEM) brakes. However, initially, the pads (EBC Red) tended to squeal when releasing the brake. However, the sound can also vary depending on the specific vehicle, and this is subjective. Automobile Zeitzeugen: |SUZUKI Swift Sport (2008)| |Smart 450 (2002)| |Kymco Heroism 125 (1997)| |

Hello.
"Yes, I now have about 1000 km on the brake discs, and they are getting quieter. At first, I thought it wouldn't get any quieter. I think it might be related to the slots. Strangely, the discs only get louder when they get warm, or when you brake more heavily on the highway." Perhaps someone else can confirm this?
Sure, here's the translation:
"MFG" is an abbreviation for "Mit freundlichen Grüßen," which translates to "Sincerely" or "Best regards" in English. Audi SQ5 8R Cvub |
