But tell me, why are these light bulbs so incredibly expensive? I'm not very knowledgeable about electrical technology. I always thought there was a 'filament,' similar to a lamp, inside that glows when electricity flows through it.

But it doesn't seem that simple, does it?

probably because there aren't enough competing manufacturers, and diesel drivers save so much on fuel that you can charge them a hefty price for the hardware .

I just saw that the circuit diagram for the adapter is now available online under the section 'Adapter Diagnostics.'
