Hmm, I wonder if that really works together. Or do you leave things "as they are" here, without informing anyone and potentially causing problems in case of damage?
Please double-check that the oil is approved and that you continue to use oils approved by VW during the warranty period.

Most 0W40 oils meet the VW502 and 504 specifications.

This means converting to a fixed interval, so performing inspections every 15,000 km.
When it comes to preventing deposits from forming in the 2.0FSI engine, that's the best course of action.

Also, the 0W40 full synthetic oil is different from the LL oil which is 5W30.
I would probably opt for a 5W40 oil for the 2.0 FSI engine.

The standard fits. So, I don't have any concerns about that, and I've already told the instructor that I want to switch to a fixed-interval schedule.

I've only had the car since the summer, and according to the service booklet, it has been run with long-life oil so far, but the oil has been changed annually after approximately 12,000 km each time.

As I mentioned, the oil consumption for this engine is unfortunately quite high. I don't think it's significant enough for Audi/VW to take action.

What advantages do you see with 5W-40 oil? Wouldn't that be partially synthetic again?

I haven't heard a single negative opinion about the 0W-40 M1 oil; in fact, people have reported that it only slightly reduced fuel consumption.
