Thank you, but I don't want to stand out, I just want to make a basic setting. The 1551 can do this via "basic setting initiation", and then follow the instructions. If we can already address the STG (read errors, check MWB, etc.), then shouldn't a basic setting work too!? Or does one absolutely need a label file for this?
Audi even states that you should perform a basic reset if you have disconnected the battery. Häää, how?
Here is the documentation for the transmission:
Sorry, link removed! Wiesel

I don't see anything with "following the instructions".
Default setting: 04
Display Group: 000 (similar to 155x)
Enter (155x Q) [edit] VCDS likely already takes the value with the third '0'[/edit]
Now, for 3 seconds, press the accelerator pedal all the way to the kickdown position, so that the ECU can achieve the maximum
I know what suspense is.
finished
Does VCDS revert to the original calibration, like the 155x ...
[edit] rather not. [/edit]

......and when I press "Enter", it fails immediately, as the "Start" button in the upper right of VCDS apparently doesn't exist. I've tried everything again. No luck. Maybe it's just the missing label file!?
Rainer?
Greetings
PS: I've actually got the engine running. The idle speed is showing 790/810, which is fluctuating. So, it could be a sign of a problem. I'm not entirely sure.

It might not work because the inputs in VAS1551 and VCDS are different. The basic settings in VCDS are already set correctly with the selection of the display group. Lab files should not be relevant here.
Okay, here's the translation:
Take screenshots of each step and post them here.
Do you have the RLF for the gearbox?
Just curious - what is the actual problem?

I thought so too, but which ad group is it? I was already at 150, and he keeps writing "not available".
Reason: Replacing the throttle valve potentiometer. "This means that Audi specifies a default setting, but even when disconnecting the battery."

Look further up in Wiesel's post, there's 0 or 000.
This will also be stated in the RLF. The discussion will become much easier if you can upload the screenshots here.

I have slightly modified the text above, as I seem to be missing the "Adaptation and not" part.
I had it in the back of my mind.
Herbert is right that VCDS performs functions as soon as all the information is available.
are available (e.g., complete channel number).
The function of the accelerator pedal adjustment, as in this case, is part of the GSTG.
which is only initiated by VCDS or the VAG tester.
Since the GSTG has both pieces of information (gas pedal position and kickdown) available,
Availability is the question of how significant (or not) the lack of a match is.

I've tried it again for the 100th time. It jumps to 000 on its own, but doesn't display any values. The basic settings don't work. If you then press "Start" as well, it just says that no values can be displayed. Not possible to set up the default settings here either.
Auch nicht bei nur "0" oder "00".
What next?
Greetings.

Here are the images, which only show what was "said".
The second image is what appears when you click on "Default Setting 04".
The first image is what appears when you click on "Start" or "On".

Please try the following:
- Enter a number other than 000 -> should display 'not available'
- Now enter 000 -> what appears then? Nothing? Not available? -> Screenshot
- Press the accelerator pedal for three seconds -> Does the display show a reaction? -> Screenshot
Screenshots can be easily taken with Greenshot (and also immediately annotated/marked).

I have set it up as shown in the attachment and I am managing quite well with it.

What values does the diagnosis (engine starts, but won't run) provide?
Measurement block 001 Field 2 Idle (Target: 0.156 .. 0.800V)
Measurement Block 001 Field 2 Full Throttle (Target: 3.500 .. 4.650V)
Measurement Block 001 Field 3: Idle (Target: 0 .. 1%)
Measurement Block 001 Field 3 Full Throttle (Target: 99 .. 100%)

I would ignore the "Data not available" message. VAS1551 is also not reporting anything. Simply press and hold the accelerator pedal for 5 seconds, and see what happens. Leave the default settings.
If MWB 001 is correct, the initial setting is correct.

So, in Bezug auf die oben genannten Screenshots, er hat nicht auf das Gas reagiert, zumindest habe ich keine Rückmeldung darüber erhalten. I don't even know what the "feedback" on the completion of this procedure should look like!
What do you mean by "If the values in MWB1 are correct"? I can't tell, can I? Currently, the old DK potentiometer is still inside, so the values are actually plausible. But how can I tell if the values are incorrect? Would it be enough to just see the gas position in %? If there is almost no 0% at idle, but for example 3%, and at full throttle, at least 99.x%? Is this an indication? Or is this also not a "proof" that is considered safe?
I believe I remember that the voltage values were almost identical (at 0 gas).
Basically, it's about the automatic specifically "hard" engages the 3rd and 4th gears for my purposes. This manifests as the car making a jerk when shifting, and seemingly even briefly applying gas. You can notice this when driving at a constant speed or when overtaking (extending), and it pushes the next wave forward. This is very annoying. Imagine you're accelerating quickly to around 50 or 60 km/h, then you slow down and either maintain the speed or let it roll out because you're going too fast. However, since the system is set to shift up (mode D), it feels like you're disengaging and shifting up in a manual transmission without using the gas pedal. When uncoupling, it also speeds up, and when coupling, it slows down again and jerks. That's how one can imagine it.
When downshifting, it's similar. If you give it full throttle (all the way to the kickdown), it downshifts, and initially the RPMs will rise noticeably, and then immediately after, there will be a jolt, although it's a gentle one. Normal?
I know, it's an old machine from 23 years ago. Maybe it was really state-of-the-art at the time, but I can't imagine it. The oil was changed in 2011 by the previous owner, but I don't know if it was the right type and if the amount was exactly correct (yet).
I also feel that it shifts more smoothly when in the cold state compared to the warm/hot state.
Does anyone have this AG4 gearbox (CEB 097) and can share their experiences regarding shifting comfort? We still have a car with DSG in the family, and it shifts so smoothly, you really don't feel anything!
Greetings
