DPF Not Regenerating: Causes & Fixes | Posts 16+

I also have a question regarding DPF regeneration. I own a VW Touran with the 1.9 TDI BLS engine, and the DPF was recently replaced because it had 70 grams of ash and was completely full. A brand new one was installed, and the ash counter was reset. Since then, it hasn't regenerated. The DPF light came on again, indicating that regeneration is needed, and the load was at 47%, but nothing happened. Even forced regeneration doesn't work because the temperatures don't reach above 600 degrees.
I've already checked the other forums regarding the pressure sensor, but it seems to be working fine. The idle speed is 12 (with an offset of 0), and all the temperatures are displayed and seem reasonable. (One catalytic converter was replaced because it broke during removal). The oxygen sensor has been replaced. I've also checked the EGR valve, and everything seemed okay there. The mass airflow sensor is also fine. And when driving, everything seems normal.
I'm quite at a loss now as to why it doesn't want to start the regeneration process.
I was wondering what the lambda value is at idle for a diesel engine. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any information on that either.

The link was about my vehicle. During the cylinder head replacement, due to worn camshaft bearings, I installed a well-maintained shaft. That was a fatal mistake. The shaft came from a vehicle without a DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter). Please read the article carefully again; these engines have problems with worn cam lobes in the camshaft area. The lobe rises, has a nearly straight section of 1.5 cm, and then continues. This flat section is where approximately 10% more fuel is injected to achieve a DPF temperature above 700 degrees Celsius. Due to the pressure from the pump elements, significant wear occurs on the cam lobes.
Your diagnostic scan says everything is okay, but this is a mechanical issue that the control unit can't record. You will probably need to remove the valve cover for inspection.

Okay, that makes sense. I still have everything in its original condition, but if there are indeed problems with the camshaft wearing out in these engines, it might also explain why the oil level rises so quickly, even though I drive 100 km per day.
