Oops, that's a big mistake. This thing weighs the same as a golf ball.

Okay, here's a really, really dumb question:

What do you need 150 horsepower in a car like that for? Is it just to beat everyone at traffic lights? In everyday life, 100 horsepower is enough in a car like this, isn't it? Sure, it's cool to drive such a car, but the question of its suitability for daily use can't really be answered with a simple 'yes,' can it?

Why shouldn't 150 horsepower be practical for everyday use? I don't find 150 horsepower in a 1.7-ton 5 Series BMW to be very practical. For a long time, I drove a Golf2 16V with 130 horsepower in my daily life, and frankly, it could have had a few more horsepower without being excessive for my taste.
'The TDI with 90 horsepower isn't exactly ideal, but that's all I could afford right now. I think people should check what kind of car the other person drives before making such statements. With the TDI, you have to really think twice about whether and how you can overtake because it takes forever at 80 km/h. So, 150 horsepower with a weight of 1300 kg is just okay; it's not exactly exhilarating!'
And I would rather pay a little more in maintenance costs than constantly get annoyed on the country road because I am unable to overtake the constant, notorious slow drivers.

'Hmm, are you saying that in a Golf III with a 1Z engine and 90 horsepower, you're not able to overtake a notoriously slow driver on a country road? I feel sorry for you; I'll put it in third gear and pull ahead. I drive a Passat 35i with the original 1Z engine and 90 horsepower.'

Best regards, WarLord.

Hmm... I haven't had any problems with my setup (see signature).
In the stopwatch test, the ALH achieves the same performance figures as the venerable old 'grandpa's box' (referring to an older model).
Torque makes it possible.

Does your TDI possibly have any hidden or gradual defects?

I'm just wondering what the point of actually needing an Ibiza Cupra is...
then I'd rather get an Octavia Combi RS, because it's at least practical for everyday use due to its spaciousness icon_wink.gif.

Penis envy? No way, I'm 18 and I have a weird taste when it comes to cars for my age: tuning the suspension would only be for better handling (but I wouldn't do that anyway), I don't really like visual modifications, and I prefer spacious cars like a Passat.

Best regards, WarLord.

Well, the difference between 129 horsepower and a 0-100 km/h time of 9 seconds versus 90 horsepower and approximately 12 seconds is definitely noticeable. A slow car is still okay, but it seems like everyone is desperately trying to save fuel, so no one dares to overtake a T4 that's driving with a trailer at 60 km/h. Then you either have to overtake five cars at once or drive 50 kilometers at 60 km/h on the country road...

For me, "overtaking" and "passing" are two different things. You always have to get past something, the question is just how long it takes.

I'm just wondering right now what the actual point of having an Ibiza Cupra is.
'I think it's great to drive a small car with a powerful diesel engine. My Ibiza GT TDI with 143 horsepower (AFN) was truly an amazing machine. Sure, my Alfa 156 is a nice sedan with leather seats, heated seats, air conditioning, a phone, and all that stuff you don't really need, and the sound of the 5-cylinder diesel engine is unique, but I prefer 143 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque at a curb weight of 1135 kg over 175 horsepower/380 Nm at a curb weight of 1500 kg... In terms of driving pleasure, I regret the trade-in, and the Ibiza never used more than 5.4 liters per 100 km, while the Alfa uses between 7 and 7.5 liters!'
