@Gremlin:

So, literally, the Bosch service technician meant that the solenoid valve was clogged.

And why doesn't the pump have a flow meter? In my error memory, the error code was 'flow meter defective.'

The VP44 fuel injection pump only uses one solenoid valve for fuel metering; that's all.
'The axial pumps still have real mechanical components; in them, a sliding sleeve is moved on the distributor piston.'
Therefore, I am extremely wary of such statements from so-called 'expert' companies. Many of them reveal their lack of knowledge in this way.

However, if he says 'the solenoid valve was eaten,' then that is quite possible and also fits with this type of pump.

CU Gremlin.

Regarding my previous question:

Can I use the fuel pump from the 180 horsepower engine, or can I use a different fuel pump than the one that's currently installed?

Regards,
AL

Hello Altonno!

I also replaced my pump. Unfortunately, that wasn't the problem.

When I listed my used pump on eBay, I was overwhelmed with inquiries. There were a lot of people with cars that originally had a 150 horsepower engine, and they were all interested in installing the 180 horsepower pump.

It seems to be working.

Regards,

Knubbi.

But now I still have the problem of where to get a replacement??? 1300 euros for the new part is quite a lot for me as a student...

Okay, so it hasn't been that long since I finished my studies, but I couldn't afford a really expensive car... During my studies, the total value of my car was equal to the price of your pump icon_smile.gif.

...at ****, they have pumps with 180 horsepower for €700.

Mine was brand new and cost quite a bit.

...so it's basically a student-only price. (affordable with student financial aid).

@Knubbi:

Well, if someone definitely knew that it fits...

Let's see, I called all the recycling facilities in the area today, and none of them have any available. I'll check with E-XXX again this week, but if nothing turns up, I'll probably have to order a new one.

Regarding BAföG: Unfortunately, I don't receive any icon_cry.gif. I have to work hard for everything. That's why I don't have the opportunity to spend money, and since I don't smoke and don't have any expensive hobbies...

Sure, here is the translation of the text from German to English:
