Hi,

The traffic jam is actually counterproductive because fuel consumption is always higher in a traffic jam than when driving normally.

.

I wouldn't sign that.

It's true sometimes, but definitely not always.

Are there any experiences with kerosene mixtures in the range of 20% or higher?

'However, they do exist, but it's not really a sensible idea, especially since kerosene has poorer lubricating properties than diesel fuel. I once added about 5% kerosene instead of gasoline to the diesel. In my opinion, it didn't achieve anything, or at least not as much as gasoline would have. Also, kerosene is 'somewhat' more expensive than diesel (about €1.80).'
But if you fuel the auxiliary heater with it, you get a wonderful turbine-like exhaust plume icon_biggrin.gif.

@Ui. Sure, here is the translation of the text from German to English:

I can only confirm that. I drove approximately 220,000 km using initially brand new oil and later filtered used frying oil. This was all in a Ford Mondeo TD.
The Mondeo, which was very unemotional but extremely reliable, had approximately 440,000 km on the odometer before it was damaged by my completely intoxicated Belarusian neighbor. I can confirm increased performance due to a lack of leakage in the ESP (that was my theory), along with smooth engine operation.

And all of this can be achieved without major renovations. Huge investments due to so-called 'salad oil conversions' become mere theoretical exercises or wishful thinking, while small, effective self-renovations, on the other hand, deliver the expected cost savings.
I passed the oil through a copper tube coil located below the cylinder head cover, in contact with hot oil vapor. Since then, I haven't had any problems with the fuel filter either.

Regards,
René.

In the Bundeswehr (German Armed Forces), if kerosene is used instead of diesel fuel because diesel is unavailable, a two-stroke oil mixture must be added.
