Well, besides the extra 200 points that allow me to shop at Shell, V-Power hasn't really given me anything else.
It didn't run faster, smoother, or anything else different.

Therefore, I would not recommend using this fuel. icon_confused.gif

Well, in that case, the PD will be happy with a mixture of PÖL (in a 40:60 ratio - 40% PÖL). I meant quieter operation, the same fuel consumption, and the same power output.

Best regards, WarLord.

If there were no diesel tax and if a new production run existed somewhere, I would buy a Mercedes-Benz W124 with an inline-six engine and timing chain, or a vehicle equipped with such an engine.

Hi Holger,

You can already place an order...
SsangYong Musso, Korando, or Rexton.
2.9L pre-chamber direct injection with Bosch common rail system (Mercedes license production), 120 hp.
Euro3 is also available...

Did the 2.9-liter engine already have direct injection? I seem to remember that.

Best regards, WarLord.

Greetings, WarLord
.
Came from a Sprinter van and had 129 horsepower in the car. I don't know what type of pump it is either. It's not something you would find in a regular automotive magazine.

Can someone tell me what these topics have to do with V-Power Diesel?

@ Danjel: Did you notice any difference? Is the fuel consumption lower?

It's probably best to top up the VPP (vehicle-to-grid) system multiple times to really reduce energy consumption.

ps: Did you gamble to get that extra price, or how did it happen?

hi micha
No, it consumes exactly as much as always... Maybe it uses less when driving at a steady speed... icon_twisted.gif

Yes, I gambled for the extra charge, as it says right there above! icon_wink.gif

The 3 months are over, and I could make another unqualified entry icon_wink.gif.

I've tested the V-Power Diesel for three tankfuls now, and I had the feeling (yes, I know it sounds unbelievable) that my 1Z is quieter than before above 2500 RPM, but it still uses exactly the same amount of fuel as usual, which is 5.5 liters per 100 kilometers. What more should the gasoline even do? *scratching my head* Oh yeah, and the power meter didn't report any increase in performance either.

I'll skip adding the 95 octane fuel next time I fill up.

Regarding a question that came up: According to 'Auto, Motor & Sport,' the percentage of GTL in Shell V-Power Diesel is 5%, which likely explains why the effects described in the promotional materials are not observed by end users. As far as I know, the tests were conducted using 100% GTL (synthetic diesel).

Greetings, newbie!

You can make your car run quieter for less money. Simply add a small amount of oil to the diesel, and you'll be surprised at how quiet even a noisy engine can become.

A bittersweet side effect:

I'm driving my V2 to my usual gas station and parking at one of the multiple pump stations, just like always.

Damn, where did the regular gasoline go? We have diesel, Optimax, Super, and V-Diesel...
Great...

Ah, over there is another pillar with a regular mill attached to it...
grumble...

Recently, I wanted to check the tire pressure... these standard air pumps are a great thing. Everyone wants to use them, so there's always a long line in front of them... The point is, the first pump is located right at the entrance.
Everyone is lined up there, and the rest of the gas station is empty because no one can get in.

'Luckily, there's another gas station nearby... I already told my fuel attendant about it.'

Sure, here is the translation of the text from German to English:

'When I'm at home, besides my rap station in the garage, there's only a Shell gas station nearby. Recently, a rather eccentric gas station attendant has started working there and is helpful with fuel selection and dispensing. He actually tried to pressure me into using some kind of special fuel. When all his arguments failed, he became rude and threatened that my car would only last another 1000 km if I used regular diesel. Apparently, all his customers are happy with this 'special' fuel. According to a cashier there, only one Volkswagen dealership uses this particular type of fuel.'

hello,
I've already filled up my tank with V-Power three times.
Initially, I didn't notice any difference subjectively.
Meanwhile, I've developed this strange feeling that it consumes more fuel and also runs worse.
Maybe it will perform better if I press the accelerator more.
or
The performance has decreased, so I have to press the accelerator more.
or
The cleaning process removed something that was restricting movement, resulting in more play but less power.
Based on the sound, I can't really say anything because the 3L engine is actually quite quiet.
greetings

One thing you shouldn't forget about this expensive fuel:

Many vehicles are company cars. This means that the cost of fuel is irrelevant for the drivers (so this call to only refuel at the cheapest stations is pointless; company car drivers just want to use their ARAL card and won't fill up at an 'independent' station). Secondly, they naturally only put the best fuel in their company cars (after all, they might want to go a little faster, or at least show everyone at the gas pump that they can afford 9 cents per liter).
Just for that reason alone, the introduction of this 'premium diesel' will already be worthwhile for Shell&Co. There will be enough customers who will buy it.
