Hello everyone!!!
I have a rather unusual question. Is it possible to retrofit the sport mode button to a 1993 Audi 100 (C4) 2.5 TDI with an automatic transmission? The C4 series automatic transmissions were available in two versions, with and without the sport mode button. I have the version with the 'intelligent' transmission.
Sometimes, though, you just feel the urge to go wild and push it to the limit. Unfortunately, or perhaps more reasonably, I usually drive very conservatively to keep my fuel consumption in check. The annoying thing is that it doesn't really kick into 'sport mode' until after two or three starts, which you can tell because things start flying out of the center console.
Well, usually people just want to quickly accelerate or annoy the person next to them, and they don't want to immediately start looking for a gas station. That's why the question: Is there a way to briefly switch to 'Sport' mode using a button and then return to the normal 'driving mode' without having to buy a new control unit for the automatic transmission?
'Thank you.'
