VAG TDI Tuning: Diagnostics & VW 5051

I've found a way, thanks to my colleagues, to increase the power of a TDI engine a little bit more without using an additional chip or module. This involves modifying the engine data in the engine control unit using a VAG tester, specifically the VAS 5051. This can only be done at a reputable car dealership. I want to point out that the warranty may be voided. Please inquire beforehand. While it doesn't result in a significant increase in horsepower, it does noticeably improve the torque.
Okay, enough talking, here's the instructions:
1. Have the error code read.
2. If there are any errors in the system, have them resolved beforehand.
"If a tuning box is installed, it must be removed beforehand, as it would otherwise produce incorrect data. It can be reinstalled after the process is complete. The tuning described here may also be a factory setting. VW has set the value to the middle, and here it is only slightly increased. There are no negative effects other than a slight increase in soot emissions. According to a VW service technician, there is no risk. I have not experienced any damage or loss of performance so far."
4. Now, here's the tuning scheme:
TDI tuning for all TDI engines except those with a "Pumpe-Düse" (injection pump) system.
It is very important to save the old values beforehand in case it is necessary to revert the process.

Now, the time has come. Your TDI now has a bit more power.
The effect: A bit more torque and better acceleration. With the TDI automatic transmission and an additional module, the torque remains the same, along with the corresponding power output. Those who have had it installed are very enthusiastic.

benutze bitte die Suchfunktion mit dem Stichwort 'Adaption'.
Nothing magical is being done here, and you can also skip disassembling the box because it's pointless.
However, based on my experience, these modifications only result in very modest gains in power/torque.
If I remember correctly, the adjustment range for the injection volume on my AHF device is between 1.6 and 3.2 mg per injection. The maximum volume is likely 51 mg per injection.
Therefore, the additional power would be 0.8 / 51, which is 1.57%.
With that, the engine, which originally produced 110 standard horsepower, actually produced 111.7 horsepower.
Channel 2 only adjusts the idle speed, which is a bit of a hassle.

I think there's probably a bit more to it than just a 1.57% performance increase .

But I also don't know exactly what they're doing there, unfortunately.
