Golf Plus PD 90hp - Used Car for Sale

Hello everyone!

My friend recently bought a Golf Plus PD with 90 horsepower. He's a bit disappointed that it doesn't have a cruise control system (GRA).

His VW dealer wants to charge him €700 for it. Is he crazy, or has something fundamental changed that justifies this price? I've installed many speed limiters on TDI vehicles before, but are there any specific features or difficulties involved?

"Gute Fahrt" offers a downloadable manual (for a fee) for the Golf V... I'm unfortunately unable to say whether the same applies to the Goplus.
but it's hard to imagine that it would suddenly be so complicated now...
