Hello,
Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything in the search. So, here's my problem. My vehicle (see signature) has these sensors for interior monitoring in the rear interior light, and according to the dealer, it has them as well. The switch on the B-pillar is also present. However, no matter what I do, the alarm doesn't trigger. Also, the vehicle only flashes when I lock it the second time, if I've only opened the driver's door (opening with two pulls of the door handle, only one door opens). If the entire vehicle is unlocked, it flashes when I lock it the first time. I haven't been able to detect any errors with the door contacts (the interior light and the display in the instrument cluster are working perfectly, and no errors are stored).
According to the user manual:
- It is supposed to be activated immediately -> This is not the case.
- When I unlock the vehicle with the key, I have 30 seconds before the alarm triggers, unless I start the engine early. However, this doesn't work; after a few minutes, the key in the ignition triggers a single honk.
- After closing the car with the remote control twice, the interior monitoring should be disabled. I once read about a case where it only activated on the second closing, but that didn't work either.
"No errors are stored in the error memory. A friend recently checked the history of my car and found that it had received a new comfort control unit. Then, using an adapter and VAG-COM provided by a friend, I investigated further, and the following was revealed: "
Source: http://de.openobd.org/vw/passat_3b.htm#46
STG 46 Comfort Control Unit > Adjust STG, Function 10 > Channel 05: Interior Monitoring Deactivation > Not available!! Configure the remaining channels as described in the link.
Did my mechanic install the wrong control unit back then, one without interior monitoring, or is it possible to reactivate this function, and have I just not figured out how?
Best regards,

Hi,
I also thought the interior monitoring system was defective in my Golf.
1.) It activates approximately 30 seconds after the vehicle is locked.
2.) She is quite insensitive.
Test: While sitting in the vehicle, lock it remotely. Wait 30 seconds, then start moving vigorously (arms, upper body, waving your sweater). It should then start moving.
But I think there was a Quote: | misfire, and after a few minutes, the key was in the ignition, and when I turned it, there was a single honk.
| , that something is wrong. I would check the switching status of the door switches, etc., using VAG-Com, and then see what happens. Before that, you might want to disconnect the battery so that the comfort control unit can "reboot."
Regards,

Thank you for the response.
"Interior monitoring is completely out of the question; the tests have already been conducted in every conceivable way."
- I will try to check the door switch using VAG-COM (I'm not sure how yet), but so far I haven't noticed anything unusual (interior lighting, instrument cluster display). No error codes are stored either.
- Reboot the comfort device > I will do that. However, I suspect I have a KSG (control and switching gear) without interior monitoring, because settings in channel 5 are not available, as it is not configured.
Does anyone know what the part number should be for my KSG (electric windows for 4x, no sunroof, no electric seats)?
I'll take a closer look at it and compare the values, or check it again when I have access to VAG-COM. Aktuell:

@Besswerwisser
Does this mean that the IRU (Input/Output Unit) can be disabled in this specific device? Could it be that the IRU is disabled in this field, which is why channel 5 is not available?
I will check and report back as soon as I have access to VAG-COM again. Aktuell:

Sorry for the extremely delayed response, I don't have a VAG-COM myself and therefore rely on a friend.
It shows "No Value" in fields 1-3 of MWB 14, and "0" in field 4 (Count).
Here is the complete information about the KSG:
VAG Part Number: 1C0 959 799 B
Component: 71 Comfort Device HLO 0003.
Soft Coding: 00259
Regarding my vehicle:
IRÜ, DWA, immobilizer, large navigation system, multi-function leather steering wheel, multi-function display, non-folding mirrors, no memory seats.
On platforms like 3,2,1, many control units are offered with the same part number. What should I pay attention to to ensure that the IRÜ (Inbetriebnahme- und Rückführungs-Unterlagen - commissioning and return documentation) is valid later? For example, can I use a comfort control unit from a vehicle that had a better equipment level than mine? Aktuell:

Your vehicle does not have an interior monitoring system, at least the control unit 1C0-959-799-B-071 does not support this function.

Thank you for the reply; now I know what to do: install a new comfort control unit.
Could you perhaps tell me which version I should buy? For example, can I buy a version with more features than mine (e.g., memory seats) and then disable them? Are there one or more versions I could purchase? I'm looking to buy a used car, which is why I'm asking. The sensors visible on either side of the rear interior light are visible, and the switch on the B-pillar is also present (perhaps it's even standard on the Trendline?).

Something like that. My friendly dealer, where I bought the vehicle, apparently installed a faulty control unit (when the previous owner had it). I'm already done with him; all he cared about was selling the vehicle. After the sale, he was no longer available to address complaints (used car warranty. Examples: navigation system broken, IRÜ (immobilizer), camshaft, MAF sensor, headlight range adjustment; after a lot of back and forth, everything except the camshaft is still under warranty). Okay, I once found a website where you could find different part numbers. Unfortunately, that didn't help me much either. So, here's another question.
First, I'm going to assume that a comfort control unit for my vehicle must meet a number of conditions.
1) Features (4x FH, DWA, IRÜ)
2) Key frequency.
3) Key execution (including key for the rear lid).
Now I've found several part numbers. Initially, I assumed that the part number had to be the same in order to meet condition 2, so that the connectors would fit afterward. The part number must therefore start with "1C0959799B" on both the old and the new device.
Then I received code 071 (without IRÜ). For this code, I received the following note: PR-4R8. I don't understand what this code means.
Control units with IRÜ (Initial Release Unit) and the same part numbers had the following code:
001 (PR-9V7)
06C (PR-7AP)
06X (PR-7AH)
Then there are a whole bunch of other part numbers. Can only a friendly mechanic help me with that? I don't want to buy the control unit there, it costs over EUR 200.00. You can find used ones for around EUR 70.00.
Best regards,

Hi, because I didn't really understand all of that, I went to a service advisor. He was really friendly. But now here's the thing: according to AKTE, I don't even have a KSG (Klima Servicegerät/Air Conditioning Service Unit)! Then the master technician came and said I need one. Then we looked up my vehicle identification number, and it turns out that the WFS/DWA/IRÜ (Windschutzscheibenheizung/Antenne/Innenraumüberwachung - windshield heating/antenna/interior monitoring) were factory-installed. So what about AKTE?
Well, at least now I can answer my own questions. That strange code is the code for the standard equipment for the WFS/DWA and it's PR-9V7 in my case.
"This will cause some control units to be deactivated. According to the dealer, the following control unit needs to be replaced:"
1C0 955 799 B 00G
Since the selection of used control units isn't exactly vast (especially those with the code clearly indicated, as the barcode reader can't read them), I did some further research. In addition to the ones I already found, I also located the following devices that have the correct code (PR-9V7):
1C0 955 799 B 00G and 001.
1C0 955 799 A 00L and 005.
Okay, here's the translation:
Now, my questions:
Do I need the KSG with identifier B, or would the one with identifier A also work?
Can I install the ..B 00G and also the ..B 001, and then, depending on the answer to question 1, the ..A 00L and the ..A005?
I could really use some help. With your assistance, I might be able to save a significant amount of money, and the selection might also become much larger (possibly two or even four times), which would help me find what I'm looking for more quickly.
If any of you could check something, but absolutely need the vehicle identification number (VIN) or further details, please let me know and I'll gladly send them to you via private message.
Thank you!

@sebastian:
Great, thanks! Unfortunately, that's really the only option, which is what the friendly person also told me.
Due to the FH (failure handling), both options A will be disabled, due to variant B 001.
That gives me the part number. I need the 1C0 955 799 B 00G.
Unfortunately, I just noticed something while I was searching on Google.
http://www.pci.....de/obd/forum/index.php?s=1deec8df37339495258848f1da177d00&act=Print&f=30&t=724
Here, it is mentioned that the software version is also important. However, the text refers to "0G" instead of "00G," which might be because VAG-COM doesn't display that single "0." Where can I find the required software version, and is it applicable from software version... or only to that specific software version?
"If I buy one, the software and hardware versions would be printed on the control unit, making it easy to verify. It's not listed on the document from the dealer, but I'm probably getting the latest version from him, which definitely includes all the functions."
It's important to me that all functions remain, such as the tailgate lock function. Like the author in the link mentioned above, I also have this button on the FFB (Fanatec Formula wheel) and the switch in the driver's door.

In this case, a control unit (K8D) designed for a sedan (K8B) was installed, so it's not relevant to your situation.
Herr Antje wrote: | | It is stated here that the software version is also important. [...] Where can I obtain the required software version, and is it from software version X.X onwards, or only from this specific software version? |
Possibly, I may have expressed myself somewhat unclearly there. The index/color code here indicates the configuration of the control unit, meaning which options are installed and which are not. It has nothing to do with the actual software version number.
Herr Antje wrote: | | However, this refers to the 0G and not the 00G, which could be because VAG-COM doesn't display that single 0. |
0G = 00G. The leading zero is not included in the device identification and therefore cannot be displayed by any diagnostic device.

The changes mentioned do not affect the functions being discussed here.

ok, jetzt habe ich es auch kapiert (dann kann es so schwer nicht mehr sein ). Sure! Here's the translation:

Okay, let's see if I can get a control unit. It's often offered on platforms like 3,2,1, but usually without a version number (00G). Therefore, there's probably a small chance of finding the right one. I'd rather play the lottery with that money; the investment is smaller, and with the same luck, the potential winnings are greater . Aktuell:

Since the dealer has demonstrably installed the wrong control unit, I would suggest, in your position, that you try to obtain a suitable replacement through this channel, because the chances of finding a suitable used control unit are very slim.

Yes, the dealer. I've already had a few discussions with him regarding his used car warranty. I managed to get some things changed, unfortunately not everything, and I didn't want to go to court. Our relationship is now somewhat strained .
Since the control unit was replaced before I bought the car (by the previous owner), and I've owned the vehicle for almost 2 years now, the chances of this being the cause are probably slim. Well, I can try it anyway...
Example of my dealer:
"These dealers might also offer a 10-year warranty. Everything that wasn't okay was even identified in my presence (and that took a while). Then they said, "We don't know what it is either." I said, "Then just replace the EGR valve; it runs well when it's disconnected." He said, "Are you suggesting we do a parts swap if you can't guarantee that it will fix the problem?" I said, "Then find the problem yourself..."
With my previous vehicle, I said, "The vehicle is running poorly," and he said, "I haven't noticed anything." The same thing happened during the second service. During the third service, I didn't say anything, and then he said, "The vehicle was running poorly, so I replaced the mass airflow sensor. The bill is approximately EUR 300.00." I said, "I won't pay, I didn't authorize that, and I've already mentioned it twice during the warranty period." Well, I ended up having to pay, but I later got it back from Audi directly. Aktuell:
