Hello

Donor ½ for accelerator pedal position-G79+G185

Is it possible to connect a second 'gas pedal' as a potentiometer in parallel to the correct gas pedal?
or does this action immediately trigger an entry in the fault memory, and the system enters emergency mode? icon_rolleyes.gif

Greetings

I had that idea too.

The accelerator pedal is one of the most closely monitored electrical units on the TDI. If you tamper with it, the EDC will immediately detect this and enter a fail-safe mode, they told me.

Having an F-22 thrust lever would be awesome icon_smile.gif

Possibly switch over so that only one sender is active at a time. This should be done using a switch, so that there is no interruption. Perhaps, when using 'hand gas', there should be a dead zone that activates a microswitch, which then, using a switch, performs the switching. Once the 'hand gas lever' is activated, it is after overcoming the 'dead zone' and thus completing the changeover.

Man, an F-22 throttle lever would be awesome.

If someone is driving next to you on the highway and looking over your shoulder, you pull the lever, which is attached to the door panel, forward... and you're off.

Wow, I feel great!!!

Hi,

In the ancient Bundeswehr jeeps, this was very simple to implement using a Bowden cable, which simply pulled the gas pedal down. So, something like a manually adjustable "idle stop" for the accelerator pedal.

So, with simple mechanics, it should be possible to achieve this, but I have my doubts about whether it's actually allowed.

Maybe it's better to have it work directly with the + and - function of the speed sensor via a microcontroller...

To use the F22 thrust lever, you would also need to install a thrust augmenter... icon_wink.gif

Best regards,

Everyone has something like that. You don't need an F22... icon_smile.gif

However, I don't quite understand the purpose of the car. What is the purpose of a speed control system...?

Contact a specialist workshop that specializes in adapting vehicles for people with disabilities.

They know how to do it.
E.g. E-gas via ring on the steering wheel AND normal pedal.
