Hello, I've been driving a Passat 3C sedan with a 125 kW TDI engine since September, and unfortunately, there was no factory option available for an off-road suspension or similar.

Common "lift kits" like those from Seikel or WEITEC do not offer a mechanical lift, among other reasons because my 3C has rear suspension with automatic leveling.

SEIKEL suggested in an email that I contact Volkswagen to inquire whether it's possible to achieve a "lift" or increase in ride height through the automatic leveling system, and that this "lifting" is likely controlled electronically.

Therefore, I think I will also get a corresponding answer here in the forum (hopefully icon_wink.gif)?

Is it possible to use VAG-COM and the corresponding control units to raise the vehicle by approximately xxx cm? I know it would only affect the rear, but there are (mechanical) lift kits available for the front.

Thank you for your answers!

Please post a diagnostic log first, so we can see which control unit is responsible for the leveling system and whether we can help you. icon_smile.gif

Hmm, I'm not sure if the Passat 3C even has electronic level control, but if your level control is only on the rear axle, then it's probably what's called a "nivel," which is entirely mechanical.

It's a special type of shock absorber that uses the spring movements to provide damping force.

Okay, that's exactly what it's about. icon_biggrin.gif The diagnostic log will very likely clearly indicate that there is no controllable control unit where you could adjust anything...
