Recode ECU: How to Reprogram Car Computer

Hello, I'm having a problem when trying to program the engine control unit (ECU) 4B0906018BH from a Passat with an AWT engine. I want to reprogram the ECU to remove the transmission settings and disable ESP.
VAG-COM also shows me the necessary settings, but the control unit doesn't accept them. Does this control unit require a valid login code first, or am I doing something wrong? If a login code is required, where can I get it?
I have VAG-COM version 607.3.
