Troubleshooting after error code reading

After experiencing problems with the orange warning light on my Polo (9N, 1.9L, manufactured in 2004) – the same light that comes on when the ESP is deactivated –
I performed a diagnostic scan on a friend's car.
Even though it can't perform a fault-guided diagnosis, we still aren't making any progress.

Here's the translation:

01 - Motor electronics.

I assume that all four errors originate from the same source.
Can someone provide me with more details about this information?

Error code: 17911.
Load signal from generator terminal DF: implausible signal.

Possible causes:
Generator failure.
Voltage regulator faulty.
Power outage.

Possible effects:
Auxiliary heating not working.


So, if your on-board voltage is incorrect due to a defect (see above), then the other errors are likely secondary issues resulting from that initial problem.
