DWA Volume/Alarm: A4 8E/B6 Avant

I'm having a problem with the alarm system of this Audi (manufactured in 2001). The alarm is very quiet when it triggers, and it's not reporting when the alarm has been activated. There are no error codes stored.

My question is therefore:

Is it possible to increase the volume, or to use the regular horn as an alarm horn?
Is it possible to display the alarm trigger in the FIS?


Due to the volume, does the alarm system have a quiet pre-alarm, or is this raspy beeping all it can do?

I've read several times that 8E drivers are complaining about the quiet DWA (acoustic warning system). It seems that's unfortunately the case.
I am not aware of anything regarding a "pre-warning" or the possibility of displaying information in the FIS system.

How long did you let the DWA "roar"?

I only briefly tested the one for the Passat 3C; it also beeps (initially?) with a piezo sound, which is laughably weak compared to the powerful horn of the G3. Maybe the proper "brueller" sound will come later if you don't react, because you accidentally triggered it?

I can't say for sure yet, but I'll know in four weeks.
