Central Locking Pump: Buy Now!

"I have a central locking pump (part number 8D0 862 257 C) in my Audi A4 8D5, manufactured in October 2000. What kind of pump is this? The final character 'C' is not listed in the catalog, and it seems unable to recognize a remote control, even though the pump, according to its manufacturing date, should have remote control functionality. The catalog indicates that the correct part should be 'D'. Can you help me? I want to retrofit the original remote control system. As far as I know, Audi's central locking pumps should support remote control functionality, making the reprogramming process relatively simple, possibly requiring the addition of an antenna cable."
Or am I misinformed?

Hello.

The pump has been removed and replaced with the 8D0 862 257. Information regarding this pump states: "This pump can be adapted to any equipment variant using VAG 1551! VE4/RE"

Model numbers: PR-5D0, 5D1.

The pump with the "D" designation was installed in the PR-5D2 model.

Check this using the sticker in the trunk. If that's the case, you can reprogram the pump. If not, you'll need the one without the "c".
