Hi.
I think I'm going to break my collarbone!
I'm currently loading my malt beer into the trunk, and I see the primer at the edge of the trunk lid. Okay, the car is already 17 days old, and the paint has always been in contact with a dry leather cloth...
At the very edge of the bumper, you can clearly see that I haven't bumped into anything, nor has anything bumped into me, because the edge is perfectly intact.
However, the bumper flexes upwards, causing the tailgate to hit it, and both end up scratching each other.
I was already wondering in the car city why the door of my sister's car (3 months old) closed much quieter and more gently. I thought it might be the adjustment of the latch, which I was planning to push out slightly. But this is just what I needed!

Well, Martin, my condolences. Go to the dealer and give them a piece of your mind.
Let me know, and I'll give you a number.

I can imagine that this is a well-known problem.
When the new A3 was introduced, some models also had wavy bumpers (though it was on the lower edge). Maybe someone can check that out.

It looks like the top part of the bumper isn't properly seated in the guide rail. However, it should have been like that from the beginning.

"Guide rail" sounds almost plausible... thanks.
Regarding "von Anfang an," I already wrote about that.

Oh, what a pain.
Okay, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the dealer will help. It's more than embarrassing to sell something like that. (And I hope it doesn't happen with our future Passat! You've convinced me!)

Okay,
The bodywork specialist at the dealership was very nice.
- The bumper will be reinstalled and repainted (it sounded like a new one wouldn't be necessary).
- The tailgate will be painted up to the edge of the handle.
Appointment is set, the announcement (or "diss," as you put it) will be released today.
Okay, fingers crossed. Today, with good lighting and a careful eye, I noticed that there are already some minor scratches on the left side as well, so it's happening there too.

My condolences for the new paint job on your 3C!

The guys from Finland should see this...
Awkward!
Hi Tom,
(I used to work in the AutoStadt office above the delivery area, and I would go through there every day.)
