Hello,

It's about a Škoda Superb I, manufactured in 2008, which is largely identical to the Volkswagen Passat 3BG.

I'm looking for a way to route a thin hose for my boost gauge from the interior of the car to the engine compartment. I've already tried searching on my own:
Ich habe die Verkleidung unterhalb des Lenkrades abgenommen. Dort habe ich aber auch nach längerer Suche keinen Blindstopfen o. A. seen.

There has to be a way to reach the engine control unit along the cable harness. But it's so complicatedly installed; there must be an easier solution!

Does anyone have a tip for me?

Best regards, Georg.

From the water reservoir compartment (where the MSG is located), it's possible to pass cables through the existing cable guides and into the splash guard.
You exit from below the fuse box.

Best regards,
Stefan

Hey, or try folding back the carpet under the pedals; from there, you can also get past the splash guard.

Sven.

Hello.

Voodoo, thank you for the reply.
I had hoped there might be another way, but I suppose I'll have to do it this way after all.

scrdel, Unfortunately, I couldn't find a blind plug under the carpet.

Best regards, Georg.

Hi, doch doch da ist eine Durchführung, zumindest bei mir, da hab ich meine Strippen für die Standheizung durchgelegt. Die liegt in der Nähe des bei mir nicht vorhandenem Kupplungspedals. ScOkay, go ahead.

I wrote that before; you can see there where the wires come out in the footwell and where they go into the motor.

Best regards, Sven.

Feedback again:

The cable conduits in the footwell are also available, as described by scrdel.
However, routing the charge air cooler hose through the motor control unit housing is a much better option than running it through the water reservoir.

Here's a tip: When looking at the car from the front, the rearmost screw of the plastic cover on the MSG (Modular Service Gateway) box, located under the windshield wiper arm, can be loosened from above through a plug in the wiper arm.

This plug is extremely difficult to see, but it's well-made and fits perfectly icon_smile.gif.

You need a 1/4" 8mm socket with an extension. A 3/8" socket is already too thick for the hole in the deflector.

Thank you for your feedback.

George.
