Is it possible to retrofit a VE-ESP system from a Golf 4 into a Golf 3?

Aloha.
Has anyone ever installed an ESP system from a late-model Golf 4 with VE-ESP and 110 horsepower into a 1994 Golf 3 with a 1Z engine?
Mechanically, the ESP fits perfectly, but my problem is controlling the pump. In the Golf 4, there's a rectangular connector with 10 pins on the ESP, while in the Golf 3, the connector only has 8 pins.
Is there a way to operate the ESP using a suitable "interface"? Does anyone have the pin assignments for the two different versions?
The background is that the ESP pump in my Golf is slowly starting to leak, and I have a new Golf 4 ESP pump available. Additionally, this one has a noticeably larger and initially steeper cam disc. In the 1Z pump, I only measured a total piston stroke of 2.5 mm, while in the Golf 4 pump, I measured 3.1 mm. Both have a 10 mm high-pressure piston. This could potentially make tuning easier later on (currently, the Golf is running in its stock configuration).Thank you for the tips.

Where is the leak?
ND-HD poetry is easy to change.

You can also increase the horsepower of a 1Z engine to around 130 without having to make any major modifications.
Both pumps will stop working at a pressure of 51 mg/H anyway.

Okay, please provide the German text you would like me to translate into English. I will only provide the translation.

... there was another T.

I don't know what the f*ck it was.

Aloha.
"There's a leak at the HD-ND transition, on the quantity control valve, and the belt is getting wet, so the oil seal is probably also damaged. I already replaced the gasket on the upper cover; it was completely brittle and flattened. Therefore, I'll be removing the pump anyway, and then I can seal it (I've done this many times on mechanical VEs, and the VP 37 is actually easier, reading the values isn't a problem either)."
"Since the other pump is already there and new, and it also has a steeper impeller, it would be a good option if you ever want to tune things up..."
I've found a pinout diagram online now, so I'm going to start looking for connectors so I can build myself a cable adapter.
Best regards, Matze.
