Dear Forum Community,

First, let me briefly explain my current problem:

I have lost my folding key from the Golf V.

Since my friend charges 700 euros for changing the key, I initially did the following:

So, I first used VAG-COM to reprogram my old key from the WFS (ECU 25, Login, Adaptation Channel 01: Instead of 2, I entered a 0, then wrote "00" on Channel 0, and then reprogrammed my replacement key with a 1).

However, I realized that even if NO key is programmed to the WFS, it is still possible to open and close the car using the FFB.

My next question: How can I teach the STG not to respond to the old radio transmitter anymore?

That would probably be possible somehow in STG 46?

I would also have the same problem if I were to buy a used folding key on eBay... I could then securely program it to the WFS without testing it - but the remote control wouldn't work...?

I'm not finding anything either, so I'm now contacting you.

Thank you!

Correct, because WFS and FFB are separate systems.

I think we should somehow be able to modify this in STG 46.

Correct, see... (is identical to the Golf 4 in terms of procedure)

No, a used key cannot be programmed with WFS3 because it has already been programmed with an existing WFS system - however, the FFB can still be easily programmed.
