Hello,
Is it possible that the quantity control valve in the pump is already clogged after only 84,000 km? In my AFN, a replacement pump from was installed about 2.5 years ago. Unfortunately, I now experience a slight jerking/vibration when accelerating from the low RPM range (1000-2200 RPM) in the higher gears.
Could it really be the familiar "jerking" sensation caused by a dirty fuel injector control valve? Already now? I thought that would only occur with significantly higher mileage (>180,000).
What exactly does "exchange" mean in this context? Does it mean receiving a used part that has been repaired? What exactly is repaired on a pump when it is exchanged?

The problem with the MSW only occurred with the 1Z model...
Does the Variant possibly have a ZMS? That could also cause jerking.
If it were a faulty MSW (in the 1Z model), you would mainly experience the severe jerking during light acceleration or when trying to maintain speed in traffic. Man muss es nicht brauchen, aber man muss es haben!

Hi,
"As far as I know, and as I've also read here, this jerking can occur in all VP37 TDI engines. It's more of a slight jerk during acceleration, but also when cruising in traffic. Sometimes I experience this jerk even at higher RPMs (around -2700 RPM)."
I don't know if my variant has a ZMS. How can I find out? Golf 4 Variant Modell 05, ASZ mit 330000, ERF Getriebe, mit Zwangskorken, Softwareanpassung von Alex Günther

My knowledge:
1Z no ZMS.
AFN (in the G3) has one.
m; Transparency, Teamwork
... there was another T.
I don't know what the f*ck it was.

If that's correct, then it's probably the ZMS (likely referring to a specific component). Is the engine chipped, or how many kilometers does it have on it now?
I was just unsure because that's definitely the case for the ones installed lengthwise (1Z = EMS; AFN = ZMS). Man muss es nicht brauchen, aber man muss es haben!

My heating oil truck has now driven 209,000 km, and it hasn't been chipped. What could possibly go wrong with the dual-mass flywheel (ZMS)? It's such a pain if it's actually defective, because I had the transmission removed just 10,000 km ago to replace the ASD (Automatic Speed Disengagement).
How can you determine if the dual-mass flywheel (DMF) is defective? I don't understand the "back-and-forth sliding" method that's described in this forum. Golf 4 Variant Modell 05, ASZ mit 330000, ERF Getriebe, mit Zwangskorken, Softwareanpassung von Alex Günther

The ZMS (presumably a component) can "break down" because it consists of two parts that can separate from each other. This can then cause a strange vibration or jerking. It can sometimes be quite severe.
It's possible that even with the original performance, it could break down due to mileage.
I'm not sure if you have a ZMS installed or not... Man muss es nicht brauchen, aber man muss es haben!
