Hello,
I downloaded the new VCDS update (the old version was from the beginning of 2008)).
The tool does not offer the extended measurement blocks for selection in the engine control unit.
In addition, the standard measurement blocks are completely different; even a scan up to 99 doesn't include things like boost pressure, etc.
Block 11 previously showed the boost pressure, but now it only displays the pressure.
Overall, the labels are not very self-explanatory.
Is this normal, or is it a problem with my computer?
Or can one obtain the old label files?
Greetings.
Andi.

Could you please upload a car diagnostic scan of this vehicle?

Hello,
You mean the ECU scan,
or the scan from the engine control unit, up to channel 99?

Okay, I just finished the scan.
Okay, here's the translation:

Hello Andi,
You can either try to operate this tool with software from DRV,
what doesn't really work (-> download the corresponding version from Rainer's server).
or if your tool is from DRV, then support is only available from them.
Best regards, Micha.

With Autoscan, it was about more than just the bill of materials.
(Right-click > save as)
Download it and copy it to the VCDS/Labels folder, overwriting any existing files if necessary.
In everything else, Wiesel is correct; theoretically, you are in the 'wrong' support forum http://www.ross-tech.com/vcds/download/labels/4F-01.lbl.

Aha.
The connections weren't clear to me, Ross-Tech is the developer, and there are apparently two distributors in Germany?
I had asked a project team member to purchase a VAG-Com device, but unfortunately, he ended up researching and choosing a competitor's product instead.
Anyway, is the software the same, though?
Due to the list of prohibited items.
Yesterday, when I was selecting a vehicle in the menu, I didn't see the 4F option, and I also didn't immediately notice that there's an "Auto-detect" option in the selection list.
I have attached the scan.
The new label file is awesome. The data will be relabeled correctly, and the advanced measurement blocks will be selectable again.
You're very welcome!
Andi.

No.
The main VCDS program is already quite comprehensive, but there are additional features and components available, some of which are included (here), while others are not (elsewhere). Keywords: KPower, KDataScope, etc.
Best regards, Rainer.

Hello Andi,
There are even more than two official distributors of VCDS in Germany.
Uwe Ross's English software runs on all distributions.
Ideally, the distributions are offered to each other as unregistered shareware.
Best regards, Micha.

Do Rainer's plugins work with my version?
Then I would buy them too, I like them.

Depending on the interface (e.g., it works if it's an original interface from Uwe Ross), some...
Distributors can make the switch for a relatively small amount of money.
Just ask Rainer if it's possible with your IF (Intermittent Fasting) and what the cost would be.
The plugins would be included, if I recall correctly.
Best regards, Micha.

Yes, running.
It is also possible to change the license, but in that case, the diagnostic cable must be sent in.
Best regards, Rainer.
