Hello fellow diesel mechanics,

I'm new to this forum and need your help! icon_smile.gif

I have owned a VW Golf V Variant Sportline TSI with 118 kW and DSG since January 2009. Now, I want the locking and unlocking to be confirmed by the horn of the alarm system when using the remote central locking (RCU)...

I've also found a friendly VW employee who would be willing to program this for me. However, both he and I are missing the necessary bits and bytes to achieve the desired result. I've searched several websites without finding anything useful. I have read some good and relevant posts in this forum, but unfortunately, nothing specifically for my Golf V Variant! icon_sad.gif

Could someone please give me some advice on where and how I should have certain code programmed?

We have already tested byte 06 bit 3 and byte 07 bit 3, but the onboard computer seems unwilling to accept these settings!

Since I have absolutely no programming knowledge and my friend doesn't know much about these kinds of "illegal" things either, I need your help!

Thank you in advance!

Oh yes, can I also have the menu option "Automatically close windows in rain" activated for my Golf V Variant?
Gruß,
Daluka

The window trim is called a "rain closure."
To do that, you'll need to interact with several control units.

Unfortunately, you haven't provided enough information about your car. Ideally, we would need a full "car scan" to see as many control units as possible.

Please send me the part numbers of your comfort control units and body control modules.

Okay, please provide the German text you would like me to translate into English. I will only provide the translation.

... there was another T.

I don't know what the f*ck it was.

Jo, wie schon gesagt - ich hab da zwei linke Hände! Aber ich werd bei Gelegenheit mal die Teilenummern hier posten. Vielleicht kann mein Freundlicher auch den erwähnten Autoscan ausdrucken? MSure! Here is the translation of the text from German to English:

"al sehn!"

This phrase is a greeting in Arabic, and it means "hello". It can also be used as a farewell.

Anyway, thank you very much for the quick responses. I'll keep working on it and will definitely reach out again if I need your help! THANKS A LOT!
Gruß,
Daluka

Otherwise, consider getting a VCDS cable or finding someone who has one; it's quite straightforward to use with this car, even easier than with some VW models.
