Hello, fellow diesel enthusiasts!

Could you please post your times for 2000 - 4000 1/min in 3rd gear icon_question.gif?

With vehicle and engine.

That would be really cool.

Okay.

I own an Audi A3, 8L model, with a ASV engine, an *** chip, producing 97 kW (130 hp) and 270 Nm of torque.
Year of manufacture: 10/1999, unladen weight: 1265 kg.

Time: approximately 5.8 to 6 seconds.

Thank you very much and greetings from Lake Constance icon_biggrin.gif.

Hi!

A3, manufactured in February 1999, AHF (likely referring to a specific engine or trim level), 110/140 horsepower, 235/290 Nm of torque, ******** chip (performance chip), 1,235 kg weight, 54 km/h at 2,000 rpm, 4.7 seconds (likely referring to acceleration time).

Bedenke bitte, dass es viele beeinflussende Größen wie z. B. ÜPlease provide the text you would like me to translate from German to English. I will then provide the translation without any explanations.

Best regards,
Uwe

Wow...

4.7 seconds... not bad!! icon_eek.gif

I think I need to run the test again, but this time with a precise stopwatch.

Unfortunately, I don't know the exact model of my transmission, but I can find out! (I work at ZF Getriebe GmbH).

My tires are 215/40-ZR17... that makes a noticeable difference... you're right!!

Have you done anything else to your machine?? Besides disconnecting the AGR... (I guess everyone does that anyway icon_smile.gif).

Thank you and greetings from Lake Constance!

Hello.
With a Passat/lim, 110 horsepower engine, plus a 25 horsepower turbocharger and a weight of 1500 kg, I achieve a 0-100 km/h time of 5.8 seconds.
Supposedly, the engine only has 25 horsepower and 45 Nm more.
It seems he is actually a bit stronger than I thought.
Best regards, Alex.

Hi,

According to several measurements, I get approximately 6.3 seconds, with the standard ASV (81 kW), without EGR, and with a weight of about 1260 kg (1240 kg according to the documents - 15 kg for a lighter driver - 15 kg for a partially full tank + 50 kg for my girlfriend).

Best regards,

Jan.

Hi.

Volkswagen Golf 3, model year 1997, AFN engine, weighing 1195 kg according to the registration document, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds without a performance chip.
With the active box (Authal, set to maximum), I once achieved a time of 5.0 seconds, but with some issues related to engine speed fluctuations between 1500 and 2000 rpm. I've since adjusted the box to a slightly weaker setting, but I haven't done any more tests since then.
