Hello
I was wondering if it's normal that the illumination of the A4 8E Bi-Xenon headlights is so terrible. I have also checked the headlight alignment with VAG-COM --> it's correct. I've seen many halogen headlights that produce more light. MfG. Michael

Horrible are the in the Audi 100/A6 C4 and A6 4B-VFL.
The 8E already has the improved DEs with concentric rings, just like in the 4B-FL.
However, if they are also foggy from the inside or if the bulbs are already old, the light will definitely suffer noticeably. Gruß Christian

Both headlights + bulbs are new! Both are original Audi!
It probably isn't the case either. MfG. Michael

Headlights: Valeo
I don't know what a Brenner is anymore, but there was an Audi logo on it everywhere, so no accessories. MfG. Michael

Now, Hella would have been better, but it's hard to quantify.
Is the light simply dim, or is it unevenly distributed, streaky, patchy, or something else? Gruß Christian

I don't have an 8E myself, but as I said, there are even worse, but also better headlights. Otherwise, I would check the 8e forum on Motortalk.
With halogen lamps, it would be relatively easy to loosen the lamp's clips in the dark and then move something around inside the housing in all directions, which would allow you to see if the adjustment is correct or not. At Xenon: No idea, but high voltage. Gruß Christian
