Can anyone tell me if the rear axles mentioned in the title are interchangeable with each other?
As far as I can tell from the part numbers, the front axles should be identical.
The rear axles have different part numbers, but as is often the case, that doesn't necessarily mean anything.
Vehicles without rear stabilizer bar: 6N0500047G
Vehicles with rear stabilizer bar: 6N0500047F
Cordoba Vario:
Vehicles without rear stabilizer bar: 6N0500047G
Vehicles with rear stabilizer bar: 6N0500047F
Toledo 1L:
Vehicles with drum brakes: 191500051H
Vehicles with disc brakes: 191500051H
"So, it definitely won't fit, because the rear axle bearings are completely different, also mounted differently, and as far as I can see, they don't even have the same diameter. Also, as far as I know, the Toledo has a wider rear track than the Polo."
I always thought the suspension used in the Polo and Cordoba hatchback models came from the Toledo, which in turn came from the Golf II.
It was probably wrongly assumed .
That only applies to the front axle.
