ABS Light On: VW Transporter T4 Troubleshooting (Solution)

The ABS warning light is occasionally illuminating.

Affected vehicle identification numbers (VINs):
Up to 7D1 H 116 047.

Cause:
The affected vehicles are all T4 models equipped with the Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and featuring ignition switch part number 6N0 905 865.

Faulty CAN signal from the ABS-ESP control unit. After switching to the new ignition switch, error code 01435 "Sensor for brake pressure G 201 (ESP pressure sensor)" is occurring more frequently.

Solution:
Replace the ABS-ESP control unit.
