Looking for a smaller battery box on the ASZ due to space constraints?

I'm having a problem with my battery console and cover. Since I replaced the standard air duct with the air duct from the R32 DSG in my Golf 4 Variant, the battery console only fits just right, and the cover doesn't fit at all. My installed battery, 70AH/340A, still has quite a bit of space to the right and left of the case, so I would like to install a smaller console with a cover.

Installed: 1J0 915 333 Battery console 70AH/340A, 80AH/380A.
1J0 915 335 B Cover for battery

Would the following console: 1J0 915 333 A Battery console 44AH/220A, 60AH/280A+ plus matching cover fit my battery?

Have you also installed everything correctly? I have the same box and have also converted it to the larger intake, but everything fits perfectly for me, just like before.

I think I've put everything together correctly again. It's not that difficult. The clips fit, so the position of the pipe connection must be correct, and the pipe itself is also securely fastened to the inside of the fender. That works too. Maybe the screw for the pipe is a little further out on your G4 model. My G4 is model 05, so one of the last ones, maybe something has been changed there. I had already thought about moving the attachment for fastening the pipe to the fender, but I don't know if that would still hold with gluing.

The Audi A3 pre-facelift has a battery holder that is quite narrow and allows you to neatly move the battery to the left or right.
Perhaps that will help?
