The latter: Contact sprays are essentially "harsh chemical cleaners" and can remain corrosive for weeks or even months after application (and the initial perceived success).
When dealing with electrical contacts, it is often necessary to verschandeln them at increasingly shorter intervals to remove the oxide layers that form due to cleaning. . . some metals can become so corroded after only 3 cleaning cycles that they become unusable.
Whether an LLM is immune to something, I wouldn't sign off on that without verification
