Hi.

I'm having some battery issues.
Now a suspicion arose in me that perhaps my diligent swapping of control units had caused some idle current problems.

Measured on a completely locked vehicle after more than 2 hours.
I locked the hood latch with a screwdriver, so that the MFA/DWA system recognizes it as being closed.

The Passat has a current draw of 30 mA with regular spikes to 50 mA. (Wiper is on, rain sensor is off).
edit: After one night, the current was 10 mA, with spikes reaching 30 mA.

The Golf (without any advanced driver-assistance systems or radar) has a current draw of 9mA, with spikes up to 11mA.

Only my STG adapter is known to cause problems with the C gateway and increase the quiescent current. However, it has never done that, and the gateway was replaced with a new one weeks ago.

What kind of resting places do you have?

Okay, please provide the German text you would like me to translate into English. I will only provide the translation.

Initially, my 8E had an idle current draw of 500mA. After 2 hours, I measured it again, and it was around 40mA.
I haven't had any problems with the battery, even though it's already 5 years old and has over 190,000 kilometers on it.

My brother's Focus has an idle current of 400mA, which settles down to around 25-30mA after a few hours.

I'm curious to see what other people consider to be the 'idle current.'
