Hello friends,
We have a Golf 5 R32 with the engine code "BUB" that has been modified with a supercharger by SLS. On the way to work this morning, the check engine light came on. The car was running normally, with full power - all 6 cylinders were working. The car was carefully moved back home - the spark plugs were checked, but they were all securely in place.
Connected the car to VCDS and received the following error:
Address 01: Engine Label file: None
Part number SW: 022 SLS 032 CD. Part number HW: 022 906 032 GP.
Component: MOTRONIC ME7.1.*G SLS1
Revision: --H02--- Serial number: VWZ7Z0G8128678
Encoding: 0000172
Operating number: WSC 01279 785 00200
VCID: A24D2DDB7D658F08978
Sure, here is the translation of the text from German to English:
"1 error found:"
004964 - Ignition control, cylinder 4.
P1364 - 004 - Interruption - Intermittent - Warning light ON.
Readiness: 0010 0001
The error has been fixed, and a test drive has been conducted. Everything is fine - no major issues.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find any information about the error code "004964".
I wanted to wait until the ignition coils were replaced (action: 28E9) and then see what else needs to be done.
Does anyone have any ideas?
The scan is attached.

Hello Rainer,
Thank you for the quick response. I initially started with the 004964 number, which caused some confusion.
As I said, I will have the dealership perform the action and then check it again.
Thanks and greetings.
David.
