Hi,
The 2.0 xPD corks are considered "full" with a weight of 60g and can therefore be used as replacements.
Roughly speaking, at around 200,000 kilometers, you can expect to have to dig deep into your pockets.
What is the limit for the 3.0 TDI ASB/CDYA engine? (The label file doesn't specify this, unlike with the 2.0 engines.)
This question mainly arises when buying a used car, especially if the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) needs to be replaced just 2 months after purchase.
Greetings.

This question arises especially when buying used cars, for example, if the DPF needs to be replaced 2 months after purchase.
12 months warranty when purchasing commercial property, with the first 6 months without a reversal of the burden of proof. This should therefore not be of interest to the buyer .

Hmm, isn't the DPF considered a wear and tear part?

The DPF is clearly a wear item!
Where I was planning to buy a Passat with 149,000 kilometers on it,
I have inquired with several sources (including friends and the ADAC).
I've now driven 10,000 kilometers.
=> no oil consumption.
=> The ash content remains at 42.
Greetings, Georg.

If the DPF is due for replacement soon, you could try to negotiate a lower vehicle price by deducting the cost of replacement and then have it cleaned yourself.
This is how you arrive at a very good hourly rate.
Best regards, Rainer.

Hi.
The Audi A6 was purchased last Saturday – I wasn't there.
Next Saturday, he will be "available," and I'll soon be showing up with "the cable"... then I'll report back.
200ml as "full" - that's a valuable piece of information, thank you.

"If the ash content is less than or equal to 60 grams or less than or equal to 0.52 liters, the vehicle can be operated for an additional 30,000 kilometers." Quote from ElsaWin.
This weight reduction of 60 grams applies to the 4-cylinder engines, while the 0.52 liter increase in volume refers to the 6-cylinder engines.
"On my tuned A6 3.0 TDI with 127,000 km on the odometer, the ash mass is currently at 0.20. Therefore, based on this rate, the DPF should reach its end of life around 360,000 km." A6 Avant 3,0TDI Tiptronic Bj. 02/2008

Hi there,
"Flush it out! Mine is due for an additive change every 120,000 km, I've had it done twice, and then flushed it. I didn't even have to remove the catalytic converter; I just tilted the thing upright backwards, used a bucket of water, aimed from a high position, and poured a lot in quickly. It comes out quite a bit. I also tried using a Kärcher pressure washer once, but you have to be careful with the distance, and the flow rate and speed within the catalytic converter aren't as good anymore. A garden hose nozzle works just as well."
Using the Garden method, I achieve the same differential pressure values as new parts or OEM automatic transmission filters, even with the same engine speeds (RPM), mass airflow rates (MAF), and air temperatures (AT).
My second filter was also just an AT filter, and now it's been used in another vehicle with approximately 400,000 km on it since its first service (at the 120,000 km mark, where the service is officially taken over). The exhaust system is spotless, or rather, has rust deposits from the system in the stainless steel end pipes. I flush it out every 60,000 km. You can save yourself the €400 for an AT filter or €800 for a new OEM one.Experiences suggest that filters without additives should be able to maintain their performance; however, I can only provide information for a filter that cleans at an ignition temperature of approximately 500°C.
