Multifunction steering wheel (Solved)

Hello,
I want to install a MuFuLe system in my Touran.
Does it have to be the steering wheel with 4 buttons, or would the newer one with the "joysticks" also work, like the one installed in the current Touran?

If anyone happens to have one they're willing to part with, please let me know and make me an offer.

I got a different steering column control unit today:
Currently installed is the part with the number 1K0 953 549 BN.
This will be replaced by 1K0 953 549 BS.
According to the ross-tech wiki, this is a Highline model and should therefore support MFL and the already installed GRA.

Now, all that remains is the question of the steering wheel.
Does it have to be a steering wheel with the round buttons, or would the new version with the rectangular buttons also work?
Has anyone installed the new version and can tell me if it works?

If you already have a steering column control module, you've likely configured the LIN communication for the steering wheel, probably using LIN 1.3.

That makes it clear that it must be an "old" 8-button [device/control panel].

If I knew that it would work safely without me needing to purchase a more recent gateway, I would get another steering wheel control unit.
I will now do some research to find out which MFL (Multi-Function Lever) is compatible with my airbag and will stick with the "smaller version."
Slip ring 1K0 959 653 C and GRA lever 953 513 G are installed.

If I can find the correct MFL (Multi-Function Lever) for the airbag, then nothing should stand in the way of the conversion.

Yesterday, I installed a multifunction steering wheel from a Golf 6.
So far, everything is working. "Except for the Bluetooth pairing with the UHV."
"Previously, there was no MFL installed. The instructions state that you should press the telephone button twice in quick succession within 5 seconds of turning on the ignition, and then you should hear an audible signal. I don't understand why VW can't offer current holders. Actually, the Galaxy S3 is already quite common.

I installed the 1K0-953-549-CH because it's the only one that supports LIN 1.3 and 2.0. If I hadn't managed to get the Golf 6 steering wheel working, I could have reverted to the original steering wheel, which I still have, without having to replace the control unit again.

With the pairing adapter, the telephone button on the MFL now also works.
