Good evening, fellow mechanics.
Since I've been taking apart the two front doors for the past two days, soldering the contacts in the locks, checking the microswitches, installing window regulator repair kits on both sides (and learning a lot...), I'd really like to put it all back together (!), but there's one issue that's bothering me - maybe someone here knows the answer - I haven't found anything that fits.
Everything is working perfectly on the driver's side, but the central locking system doesn't work with the key on the passenger side. The microswitch passed the test, and the windows closed after one second.
What could that be?
Best regards,
Little.

...or, to put it more concisely:
Is the microswitch for 'door closed' and 'all windows closed' the same one?
I think so - and that's how it would work. But where does the error lie then? |

What does the fault memory of control unit 46 indicate?
Roughly estimated: Microswitch (latch mechanism) is defective --> Door is not recognized as closed --> Therefore, it cannot be locked with a key, but it can be opened with a key.
The door (VR) can also be locked via the control panel. VL not applicable.
Consequently, the door light is also likely not working correctly. 3B5 AJM

Dear Uncle, thank you - you were faster. I had stopped the scan for number 43...
But: I found the error.
Since the microswitch on the driver's side door was only working intermittently until the day before yesterday, I never realized that you can't lock the car with the central locking system when the driver's door is open... now I know, and I'm putting everything back together.
Best regards and a pleasant evening to everyone.

I'm trying to send you a private message, but it's not working for some reason.
Therefore, I'm trying to contact you here, hoping that you might reach out to me. I really need help with something and would be very grateful. You handled a similar case before, and so far, you're the only one who has found and fixed this error across the entire network.
I've been working on this for months, and I'm from Cologne. I can come by whenever you'd like.
Please contact me or let me know how I can reach you.
also via WhatsApp.
Thank you. Best regards.
