VW Touran Auxiliary Heater: Glow Plug Cleaning

I wanted to try using the actuator diagnosis function to burn off the glow plug.

Actuator diagnosis:

1. Initial situation: Vehicle OFF, auxiliary heating OFF.
   
2. In VCDS, go to "18-Auxiliary Heating" > "Actuator Diagnosis".
   
3. In VCDS: Try to activate the glow plug with 50% power for {MINUTES} minutes.
   BUT: Only the sequential actuator diagnosis can be activated.
   "How do I get from the circulation pump to the glow plug?"

Does this so-called "runaway reaction strategy" actually exist?
