Diesel Filter CFFB - Buy Online Now!

Is there a trick to closing the diesel filter on the CFFB engine? The cap is incredibly difficult to tighten.

Lubricate the rubber band and use wood to propel it.
Don't overtighten the screws; the flange will warp, and it will never seal properly again.

I always use screws and have never had a leak.
Make sure to lubricate the sealing ring properly, and then rotate each screw a quarter to half turn in a circular pattern.

... there are enough screws available. You just have to be careful when doing it.

-1... These things are extremely sensitive; I've even made one leak myself despite being very careful.
I'll never do that again; I'll only put the screws in after the lid is properly aligned.

Assuming you can still get the screws in, even with the offset angle.

Always tighten the screws gradually, while simultaneously applying pressure... I haven't broken any yet .

Okay, thanks! Lubricating also helped me a bit. I then used pliers and some wiggling to push the filter in piece by piece, and the rest was done with the screws.
I don't consider this to be a very well-designed component compared to the other filters that are completely replaced.

I apply a thin layer of fresh motor oil to the gasket and the gasket's seating surface on the housing, and then I press the cover down with my bare hand - it works great this way.
Note: I use the oil that also goes into the engine for this purpose.
